On September 24, 2024, we held our project's Fifth Steering Committee Meeting as a hybrid meeting at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation, and Climate Change's premises.

The meeting was chaired by Demet ERDOĞAN, General Directorate of Environmental Management, Municipal and Biodegradable Waste Management Branch Manager; Industrial Waste Management Branch Manager Dr. Özlem YILMAZ, on behalf of the European Union Delegation to Turkey; Sector Manager Özge Gökçe AKTAŞ, Contract Manager Nurnisa ELÇİN, Project Director Adam IWASZKO, Deputy Project Director Fazıl BAŞTÜRK, Project Manager Gözde VARDAR, as well as Operations Coordination Unit representatives and project experts.

Members of the steering committee included representatives from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change, the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Climate Change Presidency, The EU Presidency, The Turkish Environment Agency, The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), The Strategy and Budget Presidency, and Consortium members participated in the meeting.

In the meeting, where Project Team Leader Edward Scott CROSSETT and Deputy Team Leader Oğuzhan AKINÇ provided committee members with detailed information about the project and past activities, future activities were also discussed.
