The first of our workshops on the evaluation of the regulations and guidelines prepared within the scope of Technical Assistance Project for the Development of the End of Waste Concept in Türkiye was held in Antalya on December 3-4, 2024.
The workshops, which aim to support the preparation of the regulations and guidelines developed in the second component of the project, aim to receive feedback, opinions and suggestions for the draft documents submitted from national stakeholders.
The opening speeches were made by Dr. Özlem YILMAZ, Director of the Industrial Waste Management Branch of the Circular Economy and Waste Management Department of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and Edward Scott CROSSETT, Project Team Leader. On the first day of the workshop, project experts presented draft regulations for aluminum and copper.
On the final day of our Workshop, we held working group meetings with project experts to gather feedback, thoughts, and suggestions from national stakeholders for the aluminum and copper scraps regulation and guidelines. The event, which included valuable comments and suggestions from attendees, concluded with a feedback session for the working groups.
