The workshop for evaluating the regulations and guidelines prepared for glass waste under our Technical Assistance Project for the Development of the End-of-Waste Concept in Turkey took place in Istanbul on December 12-13.
The workshops aimed to support the preparation of regulations and guidelines developed in the second component of the project and gathered feedback, opinions, and suggestions from national stakeholders on the draft documents presented.
The opening speeches were delivered by Dr. Özlem YILMAZ, Head of the Industrial Waste Management Department at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, Circular Economy and Waste Management Division, and Gözde VARDAR, the Project Manager. The Project Team Leader, Edward Scott CROSSETT, provided detailed information on the planned activities. On the first day of the workshop, project experts presented the draft regulations and guidelines for Glass Shards End-of-Waste Criteria.
On the final day of the workshop, working group sessions were held with project experts. The event, which gathered valuable comments and suggestions from participants, concluded with feedback sessions from the working groups.
